Microsoft Office 2000 Quick Reference
Published in Hardcover by Que (January, 1999)
Average review score:

A useful Quick Reference for Office 2000I have been using this book to find "how to do ..." information on Office 2000. This is a useful quick reference, unimposing in style and size. It covers Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook in a clear, concise, easy to find and follow format. The explanations and illustrations are easy to understand. It's not intended to substitute for more comprehensive reference works or as a tutorial. It is organized by software product and alphabetically by topic but the version I have lacks a table of contents and could use a more thorough index.

The Mystery at Snowflake Inn (Boxcar Children Special (Cloth), No 3)
Published in School & Library Binding by Albert Whitman & Co (October, 1994)
Average review score:

not very exciting, but funThe story basically happens in one place, and the mystery isconfusing, with a few suspects, and until almost the end it's unclearwho is the troublemaker. It is interesting to read what the kids do all the time they are there(and nothing is close to being solved),but,as I said, not very exciting. END

The Mystery of the Missing Cat (Boxcar Children Mysteries, 42)
Published in Paperback by Albert Whitman & Co (September, 1994)
Average review score:

The Missing CatWhen the children hear that Mr. Wood's cat, Spotzie, is missing, they immediately help out by putting up Lost Cat posters and going door-to-door with a photograph of the cat. The more they search, the more mysterious the situation becomes.

The Niagara Falls Mystery (Boxcar Children Special (Cloth), No 8)
Published in School & Library Binding by Albert Whitman & Co (April, 1997)
Average review score:

Okay, but not from the bestThe book has its interesting and exciting parts, but the ending shows it to be a simple misunderstanding. Not the best...

Quest for Camelot
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Seems to have been quickly pieced togetherUnlike the Disney Mouseworks storybooks, this one was assembled using frames from the movie. The images therefore tend to be a little blurry. The text has some inconsistencies with the storyline as well. Its shortcomings would be glossed over by its young audience, of course.

Smash Pop Hits 2001
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (June, 2002)
Average review score:

Nothing specialThis is a fairly average piano/vocal/guitar sheet music book featuring a lot of popular songs from 2001. It's not as good as the previous Smash Pop Hits 1999-2000, in my opinion.
Most of the songs should be fairly easy to play for the intermediate player although some of the bass lines can be a bit tricky. "Can't Fight the Moonlight", "Shape of My Heart" and "Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)" are three of my favorites from this book. There are several hip-hop and dance tracks which don't really translate well to piano, which are a bit of a waste of space.

Soothing the Troubled Mind: Acupuncture and Moxibustion in the Treatment and Prevention of Schizophrenia
Published in Paperback by Paradigm Pubns (June, 2000)
Average review score:

Dian Kuang: A Modern Clincal ApproachThis is a very accessible book for lay people and novice practioners, and also has enough points of interest for those more experienced in TCM. However, for those familiar with modern acupuncture as currently practiced in Nanjing University of TCM, it is a little less useful in the practicals of theraputic application. It also is a little frustrating for those not so enthusiastic about Nigel Wiseman's glossary of medical terminology. All in all, though, it is a worthwhile addition to your medical library.

Vocal Selections from Applause
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (January, 2000)
Average review score:

a somewhat incomplete music bookI did this play last year in High School, and I lost my music to it. I like to have a full collection of the music I have done, and the addition of this music would be good... but incomplete. I want all the music.

Yaqui Myths and Legends
Published in Paperback by University of Arizona Press (September, 1993)
Average review score:

Yacqui, People of EnchantmentStories and legends define us. I learned this from the Yacqui personally! For the Yacqui, their stories are very much alive and growing, and defining their lives today. I loved the authenticity, I could feel the warmth of the Southern Sun and hear the Yacqui Deer Dancers! In this collection of myths and legends, the ancient and traditional voices of five men are heard clearly, their voice amplified by Ruth Warner Gidding's writing style and integrity. These five men and their stories, much like the culture itself, overflow with strong spiritual messages, prophecy and cultural instructions. Really, a book about indigenous survival amidst cultural genocide, this book is a valuable peek into the inner hearts and homes of the Yacqui people.
